Dimi

Here are a couple of pics of Dimi the little orphan Brushtail possum whose Mum was hit by a car and killed.

Luckily someone thought to check her pouch and got the little bub to a wildlife carer who then sent him on to me to raise.

He was around 100g when he came in and is now 1.8kg and looks very different.

He has moved on to another carer who has an aviary available for him to get some exercise for a couple of weeks to build up strength before he goes back where he belongs...the tree tops.

This is him now:

oh Angie, dimi is beautiful!! What an awesome job you did raising him. You must get pangs of sadness as well as joy to see the animals moving on! It must be such a rewarding thing to do - that's just wonderful!!!

I do miss them especially when I see pics of other wildlife carers with their little ones.
But I hear the possums outside my home at night and that gives me some reassurance that we're doing all we can to help them and they are doing ok out there.

WOW, what a fabulous job you've done raising this little fellow Angie. Thank you :-)
So grown up compared to the little 100gm tike who came into your care.
